TERMS & CONDITIONS

Booking Party:

 

Bookings are only accepted from guests over the age of 18. The guest making the booking must accompany the party and is responsible for the beach huts and all terms and conditions.

Bookings are strictly non-transferable.

We reserve the right to refuse any booking(s) should we deem them unsuitable for The Little Green Huts Mersea and have the right to refuse admission on arrival should any aspect of the booking be misrepresented.

The Little Green Huts has a maximum capacity of 8 people including children.

Pooches are always welcome, although please let us know when booking if you would like to bring more than two. They must be supervised at all times and must not cause a nuisance to other beach goers. Please do not let them sit on the deckchairs/beach chairs or any soft furnishings.

 

Confirmation of your booking:

 

Full payment is required upon booking and booking is not confirmed until your payment has been received.

Your payment confirms that you have fully read and accepted our terms and conditions.

 

On Arrival at The Little Green Huts:

 

The Little Green Huts will be available from 10am until 6pm (please contact us should you require any extra time). There is strictly no sleeping in the huts and they are alarmed after 8.30pm.

There is one parking space directly behind the huts, please respect this and do not try to park two cars there. Do not park behind any other hut than the one you have booked. 

The beach area is a family environment and The Little Green Huts should be in keeping with this. Please keep within the boundaries of the beach huts so as not to encroach on our neighbours, or to be noisy or disruptive.  

BBQ’s are not allowed in the beach huts or in the immediate vicinity (including the wooden decking or the beach in front).

There is strictly no smoking or vaping in any form permitted at the Beach Huts. Gazebos are not allowed.

Please note the window boards are not fixed and can come loose. If you remove them during your visit, please ensure you fix them back securely to help prevent them falling off and potentially causing damage or injury. 

 

When Leaving the Beach Huts:

 

We take great care in ensuring The Little Green Huts is kept in a loved and clean condition. It would be much appreciated if you could leave everything as originally found so the next family can enjoy the same experience as you. If we find it to be left in an unreasonable condition, we reserve the right to refuse future bookings, along with charging for additional cleaning.

 

Please wash up and dry anything you use and put things back where you found them. We provide all cleaning products and ask that you wipe down and dry the worktop and hob before you leave.

All litter and food must be removed from the beach huts and surrounding area and disposed of correctly, bin bags (and dog bags) are provided.

 

Sweep the floor before leaving, being careful to get all the sand out! Please rinse all buckets, spades and sand toys under the outside tap and remove as much sand as you can before placing them back in the storage basket in the beach huts (and as dry as you can!)

 

Please turn off the gas and then double check you have turned off the gas! Close all window boards and secure rails and make sure the keys are returned to the key safe - the key safe must be properly closed and the lock turned to the left to lock it. 

 

We understand sometimes damage or breakages happen, but please do tell us of anything that has occurred at the end of your stay so that we can put it right. If it is a small accident then we can suffer this, but otherwise we must charge for damage and repairs. If there are any problems, please contact us straight away so that we can try and resolve it at the time.

 

Amending or cancelling a booking:

 

We require 7 days notice prior to the first day of your hire to receive a full refund or change of date (subject to availability). If less than 7 days notice is given, we will retain a £25 admin fee from the original booking amount.

If less that 2 days notice is given the full amount will be retained with no refund issued.

We cannot offer refunds or change of dates due to bad weather.

 

We reserve the right to cancel any booking in the event that we are unable to let the beach huts for reasons beyond our control. A full refund and explanation will be given.

 

We cannot accept liability for loss or damage, sickness or injury (however this may be caused) to any of the booking group or any of their belongings. Anything left at the huts will be returned at our earliest convenience (to the cost of the main booker).

 

Additional Terms:

 

Sleeping at The Little Green Huts is strictly prohibited (the huts are alarmed after 8pm)

Do not use the deck chairs, parasol or wind break in the rain or wet sand, these are not waterproof and will go mouldy. 

Candles in or on the deck of The Little Green Huts are not permitted.

Please do not put banners or balloons in the hut using pins in the wood (only tie with string to the beam).

Our bookings are for personal use only. If you require a booking for professional use, please get in touch to discuss.
